In this section we illustrate the processes identified by ASK Group on the base of ISO9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards, for which all the ASK Companies have got the related quality certificates.
Additionally, all the sub-processes related to our digital and analogue amplifiers design are consistent with ISO 15504 (SPICE) standard.
The excellent quality level of ASK products, appreciated by our customers, arises from a robust design and development process made in the customer perspective and based on APQP/AQF approach for all the business production lines.
The Quality Department is fully involved in all these processes: from feasibility analysis to design and development of new products and solutions; from samples and pre-series manufacturing to mass production, up to after-sales activities and services.
A ongoing examination and assessment activity
ASK performs many verification, qualification and requalification tests in his internal laboratories. The external tests are performed in ISO17025 certified laboratories.
The design and development of products and processes are performed, evaluated, verified and approved through quality methodologies as FMEA, SPC, MSA, design reviews. These methodologies guarantee that the particular traits of any customer are properly identified, correctly managed during the design phase and monitored during the mass-production.
ASK conduts periodical system, process and product audits to assure that the customer requirements are continuously met. The methodologies used for these audits are specified by our customers, for instance VDA 6.3 and 6.5 for German customers.
The importance of Problem Solving
ASK considers Problem Solving strategic, because only through an effective and efficient claim management it's possible to immediately react to nonconformities with a strong and incisive corrective action plan.
The method we follow for Problem Solving processes is 8D, with its main tools such as 5W2H, Ishikawa diagram, Pareto diagram, 5Why.
ASK manages all the nonconformities by means of a database to guarantee an effective non-quality cost tracking, an immediate High Management involvement and standardization of preventive and corrective actions through a lesson learnt process.
Our effort to always progress
All the ASK Companies are involved in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) by adopting Daming cycle (PDCA - Plan-Do-Check-Act) method.
The inputs for improvement are coming from both the Management (top-down improvement: Management reviews and meetings, yearly assessment of customer satisfaction) and the employees (bottom-up improvement: proposals and suggestions, operative quality meetings).
These actions presume a high workforce engagement that ASK feeds with a yearly specific training program, a recurring personal evaluation system and economic incentives addressed to employees more deserving. In this way each worker feels responsible for products and processes quality.
